The Best Thing We Can Do for the World
Listen, I know there's a lot of bad shit going on, and it's tempting to stare at it like you're driving past a car accident. But this battle is much bigger than any of us as individuals. And craning your neck to keep looking at the horrors or doom scrolling the hours away will not give you the sense of control, justice, or peace you're looking for. One of the messages I received from my guides in that hazy time between sleeping and waking told me to study the Hermetic Principles. So I queued up a couple YouTube videos to listen to while cooking dinner, and the message became clear. As within, so without. ![]() The battle I see happening on this planet is a reflection of the battle within my own spirit. The more I work to heal my own inner divide, the more healing I will observe in the world around me. Should we do what we can to advocate for justice? Absolutely! But when it starts to feel like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders, that's a choice. And it's a choice that's actively harming you while minimizing your ability to help others. This same message keeps coming to me over and over. I read the following passage in a deliciously trippy book I've been working my way through:
I think we've perhaps bought into a false belief that if we aren't in constant anguish over the state of the world, then it means we don't care and aren't doing anything to help. But what if vibration is real? And what if the best thing we can do for the world is to heal our own wounds and expand our consciousness? This is the wisdom teaching that keeps coming to me over and over again, and I'm ready to go all in on it. I've seen the impact that thought work, manifestation, and alignment with my higher self can have on my life. It has totally transformed everything, including my romantic partnership, my family life, my career, and multiple living situations. What might happen if more and more likeminded people began to bring their thoughts, emotions, and vibration into alignment with the beautiful, safe, abundant future they desire? Could we potentially be part of a larger wave of enlightenment that carries humanity into an evolution of consciousness? That's not just a hope I have. It's a knowing. |
